Anointing Presence of God

How to Experience more of the Presence of God

Presence of God – experienced in a particular direction or place, like the presence of an ordinary person.

We human beings are used to sensing or experiencing the presence of another person as being in a particular place. It may help you to experience the Presence of God if you intuitively (or guided by Holy Spirit) focus on where the Presence of God is for you, at this time. (King David even set, or choose to pay attention to the Presence of God at his right hand. You can do the same!)

The Hebrew phrase, often translated as, “The Face of God” means, I am told, the Presence of God. What this strongly hints at is that not only is the Presence of God experienced in a particular place, but we can experience and notice that God is facing us, seeing, watching, listening to us – he is paying attention to us. We are seen!

This adds a new and valuable piece to our experience of Presence, when we realize this with help of Holy Spirit.

Ask Holy Spirit to help you experience more of the Presence of God. Or the Presence of Jesus. You can even ask or wonder, where is Immanuel, God with you.

Pay attention to what you sense or experience; explore and experiment. Allow yourself to experience more of the Presence of God.

Anointing Faith Miracles

Faith Can Connect the Anointing to Needs and Miracles Happen

Faith can Connect Anointing to our Needs

Faith is often how the Anointing comes to touch our needs for restoration and healing.

Like when the hemorrhaging woman touched the hem of the clothes Jesus wore. She was totally determined, single-minded. Jesus said it was her faith that healed her.

When faith contacts the Anointing, miracles occur.

Faith can create a point of contact – a connection – between a need for healing or other restoration – and the Anointing. Prayer cloths, personal touch, contact with the hem of the garments of Jesus, great faith in a word or command with authority for healing – just a few kinds of examples.

Faith can provide a point of contact between a need and the Anointing, and a miracle can occur.

Simple. Do it today for yourself. Do it for another person, group of people or situation. Give thanks for God’s miracle.

Clean or Unclean?

Scott Rodgerson at Unsplash

In the culture of the Old Testament, normally people were considered clean, unless they came into contact with the unclean, such as by touching a dead body.

(Various bible translations use “Holy” and “Clean” for the same word; and “Unholy” and “Unclean” for another word. For me, “Holy” is more powerful; and “Clean” is more clear. Which words do you prefer?)

There is an important key principle here: the Unclean is more contagious than the Clean.

There is an important and parallel principle: When the Unclean came into contact with the Holy of Holies, the Unclean became Clean.

This is a ceremonial lesson about Jesus: who is the Holy of Holies and who makes clean whatever he comes into contact with.

So there is another important key principle here: the Holy of Holies is more contagious than the Unclean.

Which has important implications in healing and other ministry.

Jesus, his Anointing, and the Holy of Holies are a great context for ministry, such as preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God, healing the sick or freeing the bound.

The Holy of Holies is a model of Jesus, who makes everything clean, who makes us whole, and who heals who has set us free. Jesus has overcome the world!

Favor of God in Show Business

I have a brilliant friend, Herb Otter, Jr. – who has long been in show business. Says he often gets terrible reviews and people talk about not wanting him. Yet they keep calling him back to perform more. He has had as much business as he could handle.

How does this happen, you might wonder?

I am sure I know why. He has Jesus in him; he expresses Jesus often. He has Holy Spirit in him and on him.

He also considers his audience; on purpose he gives them fun and shows the value of improvising. He also teaches, encourages, and reminds us all to have fun and to improvise.

Personally, I have long suspected that this is his mission: to teach, encourage and remind us to improvise and have fun. It’s a brilliant way to live!

Also…this sounds to me a lot like the work of Holy Spirit that he’s teaching and encouraging. This is an important part of how Holy Spirit operates in us, and through us, and in our lives.

Anointing Conversation with God Discipleship Getting Help Healing Intercession Ministry Prayer

Experience Ministering with Jesus

So…by now I hope you are praying well – having conversations with Father, Jesus, &/or Holy Spirit: one God, three Persons. Getting answers quickly. Getting guidance and persisting. If you are having difficulty hearing God, doing one thing appears to be especially valuable.

I’ll focus on Jesus – which is easier for many of us and is a splendid fallback position when you are not doing as well or being as resourceful as you prefer. You can talk to one, two, or all of the Trinity – one at a time or together.

This is your genuine family. The root and basis of who you really are.

Remember how Jesus ministers: doing as Father shows him or tells him. You can do the same.

So…to minister with Jesus, or through Jesus when you need to depend on him even more and especially when you are not ready to be more active, here’s how to experience this.

Pray. Talk to Jesus. Listen, sense, watch – receive guidance and answers. Ask how to pray. In active ministry, it’s especially valuable to converse quickly and get helpful responses. Here’s how to get quick and reliable guidance from God about how to pray.

Tell Jesus what’s on your heart. Ask for guidance or how to pray, just as in the links above. Or, when you want to intercede and ask God to help – ask Jesus to take care of what is already on your heart. It’s a brilliant way to intercede. Intercession is asking God to do something for someone – so literally do this!

Minister with Jesus. Minister through Jesus. You can do this. And it’s as easy as having a conversation. Because that’s what prayer is – having a conversation where you share your heart and where you are attentive to and allow Jesus to share his heart with you.

He loves you that much. He wants to minister that much. He wants to minister with you and through you. And he loves it when you minister with him – and when you minister through him. He loves this much.

So minister with Jesus. Minister through Jesus. Love and serve, with and through our Lord and Savior. You can do this! He makes it easy.

Put your compassion to work. Add your faith – you only need a teeny, mustard seed size bit of faith. Or have someone pray with you and allow them to use their faith. This is one of many excellent reasons for having prayer partners. (More on Prayer Partners, soon.)

Anointing Holy Spirit Kingdom of God

What is the Experience of the Anointing?

The human experience of the Anointing is of extraordinary value.

Jesus, in Luke 4, tells us what the Anointing is for. He quotes Isaiah 61 to do so; it’s that important. This is literally about the Good News (of the Kingdom of God, which Jesus preached).

Jesus was give the Holy Spirit for important purposes. Such as to bring the Good News (the Gospel). To heal the sick and free prisoners and captives. And much more. He was Anointed, he was Christ – which is a Greek transliteration for Anointed One.

See, the Anointing is the experience of Holy Spirit for a purpose. To set us free from the schemes of the devil, to minister with power and love. Go read Luke 4 or Isaiah 61.

The human experience of the Anointing is Holy Spirit given for Father’s purposes. For the purposes of the Mission of Jesus.

Good theology can clarify many other valuable things about the Anointing. What the human experience of the Anointing is, though, is Holy Spirit for a purpose.

You can ask for an Anointing for something any time. For any good purpose of God’s. God is good, generous, and wise. And loves to empower you to do what God wants. Always!

There is one Anointed, Jesus the Anointed. He has one Anointing, not several. There is one Anointing. So when you have the Anointing of Jesus, you have his holy and singular Anointing. You have it all.

And there are important implications that arise from this, despite well intended traditions made up by humans. We we will explore some of these later.
